The Hamlets - Old Style for New

Many frustrated would-be buyers have become aware that the quality of houses they seek, the privacy and quiet they need, are not easily found among existing houses on the market in our region. Yes, our region has many distinctive period houses and some well designed new houses, but mostly these are not for sale.

  To rectify this, to give clients a real choice, we have initiated what we call hamlets -  groupings of just four or five distinctively styled homes on private 30-50 acre parcels, nestled on quiet treed lands with water and/or views. Based on historic architecture, each house's interior is configured for contemporary needs: open plan, large kitchens and bathrooms, all kinds of closets, light and airy, quiet and private.

Hamlets have built-in maintenance and security programs. Best of all, master bedrooms and bathroom suites are on the main floor . Hamlets are based on four historic styles: regional Federal, Greek Revival, Dutch colonial, Jeffersonian classical, and true Palladian villa. They breach the void between what we really desire and what has been available up until now.
